Line items
One issue. One question. Decided on its own — no candidates, no parties, no manifesto to bundle it into.
We collect line items from 2 October 2026 to 26 January 2027. On 26 January 2027, the first verified item is listed to be formulated as a ballot. Read the seven opening questions below; from 2 October 2026 you can propose your own.

How the first item is chosen
- 1.Nothing is pre-selected. The seven opening questions and every citizen proposal compete on the same terms.
- 2.Back the ones you want. An item needs 5,000 backers to reach Verify. This threshold is provisional; the final rule is published before submissions open.
- 3.Verify is done by an independent body, not by us: a published cost, an identified funding source, a named responsible authority, and a compatibility check.
- 4.On 26 January 2027 the first item that has cleared Verify is listed. Verification takes time, so early submissions have the edge — submit early.
Backing is anonymous, one per browser, and not yet identity-verified. Read the counts as interest, not as votes. Voting happens only on a verified item.
