What we collect when you make your mark
This notice covers kitnatime.fyi, the site of the Jan Sabha campaign. A pledge is a signature on an idea, not a vote. We keep as little about you as we can. Here is exactly what we hold, why, and how to have it removed.
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect, and why
- Name, email and state or union territory — to count support for the idea, to show aggregate numbers by state, and to email you about Jan Sabha updates and the platform opening.
- Your optional “first line item” choice — shown only as an aggregate count.
- Line items and arguments you submit — what you write, and the optional display name and state you enter. Submissions are read before they are published; if approved, they appear publicly with the display name you chose (or “A citizen”). Please don't put anyone's personal details in a submission.
- Proof of your consent — the time you ticked the box and the version of this notice you saw.
- A random backing token in a cookie (“js_voter”) — if you back a line item, so we count one backing per browser. It contains no personal information and is not linked to your pledge.

What we do not do
- We do not publish your pledge name or email. Public pages show aggregate counts only. Only line items and arguments you choose to submit are published, after review.
- We do not sell your data or share it with any political party or candidate.
- A pledge is not a vote and is not identity-verified. Numbers on this site count pledges and unverified backings, not verified voters.
Who else handles it

How long we keep it

Your choices
You can withdraw consent at any time and ask us to correct or erase your data by writing to [CONTACT EMAIL] from the address you pledged with. Withdrawing is as easy as pledging: one email, and we will confirm once it is done. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Age
The pledge is for people aged 18 and over. If you believe someone under 18 has pledged, tell us and we will delete the entry.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, we will tell pledgers by email and record the new version number alongside their consent.
